A recombinant nucleocapsid-based indirect ELISA for Rift Valley fever IgG detection in Humans
The recombinant nucleocapsid-based indirect ELISA is a newly developed assay for the detection of Rift Valley fever IgG antibodies in humans. Compared to the traditional sandwich ELISA, this new assay offers the following advantages:

It allows for testing 40 serum specimens in duplicate per ELISA plate compared to 20 specimens in duplicate with the sandwich ELISA |
The indirect ELISA is one step (60 min) shorter than the sandwich ELISA |
The test has high sensitivity (99.72%) and specificity (99.62%) |
